Stay At Our Tasteful, Private, & Elegant Abode
Tastefully decorated 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom apt in the elegant town of Devon, home of the Devon Horse Show, just on the outskirts of Philly on the Main Line. Sleeps up to 4 (1 queen-sized bed + 2 twin sized beds). Nicely appointed furniture, conveniently located just off Lancaster Ave. Great location with a Starbucks and Wholefoods nearby, and close to the Devon train station. It’s a wonderful space for travelers who are looking to visit family, kids in college, or sightseeing.

Please follow these directions, step-by-step, in order to get into the apartment and you shouldn’t have a problem.
PARKING:
Your place is self-check in, after 3 o’clock. There are 3 diagonal parking spaces out front. The one on the right (facing the house) is for the upstairs guest. The 2 on the left are for you. The one out back is for downstairs so, please don’t park in the driveway. Parallel street parking is permitted is you have more than 2 cars. The door handle is an electronic lock. The combination for today is 1357. It is the same for the back door. Please enjoy your stay and text or call me if you have any questions.
FRONT LIGHT:
For your convenience and safety, the light out front comes on “automatically” at night and turns off “automatically” upon first light. The switch has a blocking mechanism on it as a reminder to always leave it in the “on” position.
QUIET TIME:
This is a triplex apartment building with a different tenant on each floor. Please respect everyone’s privacy, especially the long-term tenants in the Basement apartment who have children. Also, QUIET TIME IS FROM 10:00 PM TO 8:00 AM. Please respect this rule, as it coincides with the No Party rule.
QUIET ZONE
The front porch is considered a “Quiet Zone” and is to be used for reading. The downstairs tenant’s bedroom is right below this area, so please try and keep this rule in place at all times by keeping the door between the living room and front porch closed. With shared house living, we hope you understand the need for certain rules and especially appreciate your compliance. Thanks in advance!
SLEEPING
There is a queen bed in the main bedroom and 2 singles in the other bedroom. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the closet in the kitchen. The linens are marked as to what size they are. Also, extra blankets can be found in the closets.
HEATING AND COOLING:
This property has centrally controlled HVAC to maintain a temperature of around 68 +/- 3. There are ceiling fans in every room to keep the air moving if you like. If you are on the cool side, there are plenty of blankets as mentioned above. We have also provided space heaters if you need them, for your comfort. Please be sure to practice all safety measures when operating the units; for example, ensure they are adequately spaced away from furniture or curtains and ensure there is nothing else plugged into the duplex outlet. Please unplug them while you sleep. Keep them out of reach (touch) of children or babies. Also, make sure they are on the lowest setting that provides you comfort.
WASHER & DRYER
Feel free to use the washer and dryer. If you use the washer, you need to turn the water on by pulling the common valve blue handle towards the washer, if it is not already in that position. There should be plenty of detergent in the utility closet across from the washer / dryer for your needs. If you need any additional towels or linens, feel free to send me a message in the morning and I’ll have more brought by for you.
TV:
This property has a ROKU powered TV set. Instructions on how to login and use it for free TV or streaming services (think Netflix and Hulu) can be found on the coffee table in the Living Room. There is the ‘Guest Feature’ enabled. Be sure to put your checkout date in and it will automatically log you out of any of your streaming services, like NETFLIX, that you have logged into. This ensures no one else uses your login to charge movies to.
TRASH AND RECYCLING
The trash and recycling cans are on the right side of the building (facing the house). Please use them regularly. If you are here on Sunday Night, please place the cans at the top of the driveway at the far side. Trash and recycling pickup is every Monday and is sometimes picked up early. Also, if you are here on Monday afternoon, when the cans are emptied, please return them to the side of the house.
DEPARTURE: Please vacate the apartment on your departure day by 11:00 AM. I will send an email reminder.
